Attendance

It is the student's responsibility to attend all tutorial classes and satisfactorily progress in the course. The College must be notified if a student is unwell or unable to attend.

Provider Default

It is a requirement of accreditation that we issue a statement concerning arrangements should the College close. CASS Training has been operating successfully in the Coffs Harbour area for nearly twenty years and does not envisage any difficulties with successfully providing the tuition for which students have enrolled. We would like to guarantee to students that the College will do its utmost to ensure that tuition is provided and that students graduate receiving the certificates to which they will be entitled. Should unforeseen circumstances arise where the College is forced to close, every effort will be made by the College administrators to place students, at no additional expense, in a College offering the same or similar programs as those in which the student is enrolled. Refunds due to students as a result of provider default are covered by the ESOS Act 2000 and the ESOS Regulations 2001. Such situations that are covered include the provider failing to commence a course on the agreed starting day or ceasing to provide the course after it has started but before it is completed.

In these circumstances students are entitled to a refund, as determined by the Act, within four weeks after the College receives a written claim from the student. Students will be provided with a statement explaining how such refund was calculated.

Contact Details

It is the student's duty to advise CASS Training of any change in their contact details (ie Australian residential address and telephone number), so that College records can be kept up to date. This is an important government requirement.

Students are advised that the College may be required to provide information to Commonwealth and State Agencies.

Costs Of Living

Whilst studying at CASS Training, students will be responsible for payment of: tuition fees; textbooks (A textbook list is issued, according to the course in which the studentis enrolled (students should allow for an approximate cost of AUD $300); any ancillary courses which may be necessary to their course (eg First aid); any incidental expenses connected with excursions; graduation expenses (eg tickets, gown hire).

Students will also need to make allowance for everyday cost-of-living expenses such as: board/accommodation (this can vary, depending on the facilities available, but as an approximate guide for a single person, can be between $100-$200 per week); overseas student health cover (this is arranged on enrolment); transport expenses, if necessary (eg bus fares); food; personal expenses; school fees for school-age dependants (if applicable).

**Overseas students who have school-age dependants accompanying them to Australia will be required to pay full fees if they are enrolled in either a government or non-government school.
